While much of the town rests, Hótel Höfn remains a warm place to gather. Whether you’re sitting down for a relaxed lunch or heading out with a take-away meal, we’re here to make the quieter days feel cared for.

Lunch Offer at Hótel Höfn

Join us for a relaxed lunch service from 12:00–15:00, with coffee included, because lunch should linger a little.

The menu features comforting favorites, from soup of the day with bread to lobster pasta and a creamy vegetable pasta. 

Whether you’re a local, a traveller popping by or staying with us at the hotel, you’re very welcome to pull up a chair and enjoy a calm, cozy lunch at Hótel Höfn.


Take-Away Lunch Package

During the Christmas holidays, most stores and restaurants in town are closed. To make things easy, and to make sure you’re well fed, we’re offering a take-away lunch package exclusively for our hotel guests on selected dates.

Each package includes:

  • A homemade bagel of your choice
  • Coleslaw on the side
  • A homemade raspberry & white chocolate muffin

Orders must be placed no later than the evening before, and your lunch will be ready for pickup at checkout.

A simple, comforting solution for quiet winter days, so you can head out and enjoy Höfn without worrying about lunch.

There’s nothing quite like the breathtaking glacier views of Vatnajökull. From vibrant summer sunsets to the magical northern lights dancing across the winter sky, nature puts on a show right outside our doors.


Hótel Höfn offers 68 comfortable rooms spread across three nearby buildings, the main historic house, which carries decades of local stories, and two newer wings designed for modern comfort.


While there’s no elevator, our friendly team is always happy to help with your luggage and make sure you settle in with ease.


Whether you’re here for an ice cave adventure, a cozy evening with friends, or simply to take in the glacier glow,  we’ll make sure you don’t miss a moment.

Our Rooms

The beautifully designed rooms of Hótel Höfn feature custom furnishings, comfortable beds and high quality beddings. We are proud to tell that we use shampoo, shower gel and handsoap from Sóley Organics.


The size of the rooms at Hótel Höfn is 12-18 m2. Hótel Höfn offers 68 comfortable rooms across three nearby buildings, the historic main house and two more modern buildings. We do hope that the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at our hotel, along with tasty food and the amazing panorama view of Vatnajökull glacier, will make your stay worthwhile.

There is no elevator in the buildings, however, the friendly staff is always happy to help with the luggage.

At Hotel Höfn, you can rent a bike for just 1,000 ISK per hour. It's the perfect way to cycle around town, enjoy the scenery, and experience Höfn from a new perspective.

  • Afbókanir / Mætir ekki

    Einstaklingsbókanir (1-4 herbergi): Ef afbókun á sér stað innan 7 daga fyrir komudag, verður afbókunargjald fyrir eina nótt gjaldfært á kreditkortið sem gefið var upp við bókun.


    Hópbókun (5+ herbergi): Ef afbókun á sér stað innan fjögurra vikna fyrir komudag, verður afbókunargjald fyrir eina nótt gjaldfært á kreditkortið sem gefið var upp við bókun.


    Mætir ekki: Ef gestur mætir ekki, verður fullt verð fyrir bókun gjaldfært með kreditkortinu sem gefið var upp við bókun.

  • Börn og auka rúm á herbergi

    Barn sem er yngra en 6 ára dvelur án greiðslu þegar notað er rúm sem er þegar til staðar á herberginu.


    Hægt er að óska eftir barnarúmi fyrir smábörn og án endurgjalds.


    Aukarúm er í boði gegn gjaldi.


    Hámarksfjöldi aukarúma / barnarúma í herbergi er 1 og er aðeins í boði inn á DBL / TWIN og SUP herbergi.

    Það er stórt bílastæði fyrir framan aðalbygginguna okkar og einnig eru rúmgóð bílastæði fyrir framan hinar byggingarnar. Fötluðum gestum er frjálst að nota afmarkað bílastæði sem er í boði fyrir framan aðalbygginguna.
